About Us

Smartlab Industries started its operations in 2002 as a web design company in the Uruguayan countryside, responsible for the creation of the local newspaper company portal and the local radio station portal. With the reinforcement of programming skills thanks to the University of the Republic, Smartlab Industries signed its first contract with the Laboratory of Technology of Uruguay in 2010 for the development and deployment of their web-based ERP system using Oracle Portal. Smartlab Industries also developed the County Library Portal and Management System in 2017. In 2019 it obtained its accreditation to conduct business with the American government, registered in the System of Award Management (SAM) as a foreign entity with headquarters in Montevideo, Uruguay.

The Founder

Sergio Lemos Correa, Smartlab Industries' founder, boasts over 17 years of experience working in the information technology field, having worked closely with major corporations and mission-critical systems in the retail, financial, travel, and payment industries.

He started working at Tata Consultancy Services in 2008 and worked as remote software support to the United States' largest retailer, Target Corporation. In this role, he created monitoring programs that were part of the rapid alert detection system of the distribution network of the company.

Sergio started his career in the Enterprise Performance Management sector with TechnolabCorp in 2013, where he supported worldwide customers in implementing and supporting Oracle EPM products, such as Hyperion, ODI, and Essbase.

He was Senior System Integrator and Platform Engineer at Sabre Corporation, developing middleware systems to process high-volume transactions in the travel industry.

Since 2019, Sergio has worked at Verifone, one of the world's major payment solutions providers. He has served as Senior Software Support Engineer and Team Leader, managing global teams and creating internal tools to simplify application deployment and system integration.

Parallel to his corporate activities, Sergio founded Smartlab Industries in 2017 with the mission to provide consulting and custom software development services to small and medium-sized enterprises. Through his direction, Smartlab has helped companies automate processes through cloud solutions, custom billing applications, and business intelligence dashboards. He continues to combine strategic vision, hands-on technical skills, and multicultural communication to deliver successful technology solutions on the international stage.

Cancellation Policy

Smartlab Industries LLC (“Smartlab Industries,” “we,” “our”) provides technical consulting, automation, and support services under monthly, quarterly, and annual service plans. Clients (“you”) may cancel services according to the terms below.

Cancellation at the End of a Term

You may cancel your service plan at the end of any billing period by providing at least 30 days’ written notice before the renewal date. If notice is not received in time, the plan will automatically renew for the next term.

Early Cancellation

If you cancel before the end of the committed term (for example, a 6- or 12-month plan), any minimum-term commitments, discounts, or promotional rates will no longer apply. Early cancellation may result in:

• Payment of the remaining balance of the committed period, or
• A fixed early termination fee, if specified in your agreement.

No Refunds

Payments already made—monthly, quarterly, or annually—are non-refundable. Smartlab Industries may, at its sole discretion, issue a service credit instead of a refund.

Effect of Cancellation

Upon cancellation:

• All services will end on the effective termination date.
• You remain responsible for any fees incurred up to that date.
• Smartlab Industries may deactivate accounts, system access, or technical environments at that time.
• Deliverables or transition materials may be withheld until all outstanding balances are paid.

How to Cancel

Cancellation requests must be submitted by email to: support@smartlabindustries.com. Please include your company name, contact information, and the desired termination date.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA.
