You pay as you go, service. We strongly believe that there is no commitment when there are no transactions involved. Most of the companies request a minimum 12-Months contract. With Smartlab Industries you can sign your contract for 1 or 2 years, one semester, a quarter and even one month. If your system requires immediate response, we are ready to jump in.

ABOUT US

SmartLab Industries started its operations in 2002 as a web design company in the Uruguayan countryside, responsible for the creation of the local newspaper company portal and the local radio station portal. With the reinforcement of the programming skills thanks to the University of the Republic, Smartlab Industries signed its first contract with the Laboratory of Technology of Uruguay in 2010 for the development and deployment of their web-based ERP system using Oracle Portal. Smartlab Industries also developed the County Library Portal and Management System in 2017. In 2019 obtained its accreditation to conduct business with the American government, registered in the System of Award Management (SAM) as a foreign entity with Headquarters in Montevideo - Uruguay.

The Founder

Sergio Lemos Correa, Smartlab Industries' founder, boasts over 17 years of experience working in the information technology field, having worked closely with major corporations and mission-critical systems in the retail, financial, travel, and payment industries.

He started working at Tata Consultancy Services in 2008 and worked as remote software support to the United States' largest retailer, Target Corporation. In this role, he created monitoring programs that were part of the rapid alert detection system of the distribution network of the company.

Sergio started his career in the Enterprise Performance Management sector with TechnolabCorp in 2013, where he supported worldwide customers in implementing and supporting Oracle EPM products, such as Hyperion, ODI, and Essbase.

He was Senior System Integrator and Platform Engineer at Sabre Corporation, successfully developing during 2018 a middleware system that was able to process trillions of transactions per minute.

Since 2019, Sergio worked at Verifone, one of the world's major payment solutions providers. Upon joining, he served as Senior Software Support Engineer and then promoted as Team Leader. In this role, he managed global teams and was responsible for the creation of internal tools to simplify application deployment and system integration. Further, he worked as Product Owner of critical encryption tools, including VeriShield Protect (VSP).

Parallel to his corporate business activities, Sergio founded Smartlab Industries in 2017 with the mission to provide consulting and custom software development services to Uruguayan small and medium-sized enterprises. Through his direction, Smartlab enabled Uruguayan companies to automate their processes through the introduction of cloud solutions, custom billing applications, and business intelligence dashboards. Moreover, he focused on Big Data and Business Intelligence while beginning studies toward obtaining a Master of Business Administration and Master of Business Intelligence in Barcelona School of Business, Spain. Currently, he keeps coupling strategic vision, hands-on technical skills, and multicultural communication skills to create successful technology solutions on the international stage.
